I was trying to cut people who do not believe in God some slack. I reasoned that because they do not see him, hear him, touch him, smell him or even taste him it is difficult for people to believe that God exists.
But NOW WAIT A MINUTE.

Maybe they are not faultless as I presumed.

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,”

We take life pretty much at face value. Like a fish is oblivious to the water it lives in we are unaware of how MIRACULOUS everything is. When we want to wax poetic we refer to a baby’s birth as “the miracle of birth” Yet without hyperbole it is truly miraculous. Earth is the only place that we know of that has life – abundant life. Not only is there life but there is beauty – blue skies, billowy white clouds, blue waters and green grass and trees. Let’s not forget beautiful flowers. Everything for our pleasure and all working in a profound harmony. If we could live on the Moon we would have none of this, just white dust and black skies.

The Sun has given us warmth and light for at least 6000 years. At any given time there are areas that are 120°F above zero and  120°F below zero yet since we have been recording temperatures the average temperature of the Earth has not varied by more than 1°F.

Little things like dust mites which are so small they can hardly be seen live, eat, and breed generation upon generation. No one tells them how to do it yet they proliferate even with our attempts to stop that. A seed can lay dormant for decades yet when planted blooms into whatever it is supposed to be. Boy, are seeds resilient and smart.
I can sort of kinda fathom how an animal or human starts out as an egg and when the egg is fertilized it starts the process of dividing and growing. The thing that I cannot understand is instead of being a whole mess of the original cells they form mind boggling complex interconnected structures. The eye of a human embryo starts as a black dot the size of the period at the end of this sentence with at least 30 main parts – 120 million rods – 6 million cones – and a bundle of 1 million nerve fibers that connect to specific brain cells. WOW!

” I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

Now this complexity applies not only to humans but to all animals as well (and plants aren’t slouches either – a potato is supposed to have more chromosomes than a human being). As I have mentioned  in other posts “scientists” like to play number games. The odds of a deck of cards thrown up and landing in suited order is 52 factorial or 8 x 10ˆ67 . That would be the equivalent to throwing up a deck of cards every minute for 150 million million million million million million million million million million  years but truly it would never happen taking into account spatial considerations.  The chances of a self replicating peptide of 32 amino acids is 10ˆ40.  DNA contains 208 billion atoms. If each atom represented a letter that would be the equivalent to roughly 1.5 million books of information. There are 200,000 nucleotides in our DNA. All of this in something so small it takes very powerful microscopes to even see it. Biologists have tried for over a century to create the simplest life but have failed.

One interesting thing I heard is that DNA is just the parts list for building living things. When you are building a house the lumber, plumbing, shingles, etc. are like the DNA. However in order to actually build the house you need house plans to tell how the parts are to be assembled. Biologists presently do not know where the plan comes from to assemble the DNA parts.

Question to Ponder: Where do you think the PLAN comes from ?
